Vote for mBot is Closed! 3 Winners Pop Up!

Started from April 28th to May 2oth (stretched for several days to make up those lost votes), “Vote for mBot” is closed and we randomly picked up 3 lucky people who voted the favorite color for next mBot on Facebook for us! Before we announced the 3 lucky winners, let’s get through the whole projects!

1. Background, why we held this campaign?

mBot is the first educational arduino robot for kids and beginners, though we held the project on Kickstarter, there was less focus on mBot form others. Some backers reflected that it would be better if mBot can provide more color options and pink is not a proper color to some countries. Therefore, we figured out to hold a campaign with 3 free mBot giveaway as stretch goal for this project. Based on designers’ suggestion, we provide 4 options – Red, Green, Silver and golden via social media for you to decide which the best color for next mBot is!

2. How many people took part in this campaign?

There are over 2.6K visits for this campaign and 582 votes in total with 158 shares on social media.

3. Which is the winner color for next mBot?

I thought it would be Golden or Red, because I love golden and red. However, people seems love Green more! There are 253 votes in total, which occupies 43.4% of all votes! Green is the next color of mBot!

4. Then the most important who is the winner?

To be honest, who those votes are picked up randomly, therefore, Richard, Daniel and Eric, please claim your Green mBot here and email to with latest shipping address and contact number! Don’t forget to share this good news with others! You’re the luckiest person now!

5. When will you get this green mBot?

Because this is the new color, we need some time to remode it, but it won’t be late to the middle of June.

You can get mBot here: 2.4G Blue version, Bluetooth Blue version, 2.4G Pink version, Bluetooth Pink version. Green version is not available on currently but you will get it on June.

Thank you so much Makeblock! I can’t wait to see the children at my children’s elementary school enjoying these mBot’s while learning programming and robotics. I am also very excited about the goal reward of the LED faceplate. I’m sure it will add hours of enjoyment to the unit! Thanks again and keep up the great work.
