2016年7月 Imagine Cup微软“创新杯”2016总决赛在西雅图落下帷幕,Makeblock作为机器人环节担当,全程参与了Imagine Cup决赛中的Imagine Robo World Cup Hackathon,和全球智慧青年一起进行了一场创意机器人大赛。  Imagine Cup 微软“创新杯”全球学生大赛是目前全球规模最大、影响最广的学生科技大赛,皆在鼓励青年学生发挥想象和创新能力,用科技解决全球最棘手问题,将创意变为商业现实。2003 年创办以来,已有 190 多个国家和地区,超过 165 万名学生参与了“创新杯”比赛。2016年的决赛除了依旧令人惊叹的世界MSP和他们的创意项目外,由《星球大战7》主演John Boyega、微软软件工程师Kasey Champion、以及2014年创新杯世界冠军得主Dr. Jennifer Tang组成的评委席也是星光熠熠。            此次Imagine Robo World Cup Hackathon活动中使用的是Makeblock定制的mBot小车。基于决赛参赛者的综合能力和水平,经过和微软沟通方案,在mBot的原基础上进行了扩展,包括在机身结构上增加了一个9克舵机自由度云台,拓展踢球功能;另外控制系统上增加了Raspberry Pi Model 3 B和无线游戏手柄,在Raspberry Pi Model 3 B上安装了Windows系统,通过无线游戏手柄来操控mBot小车来完成踢球竞赛。                      2016微软创新杯总决赛虽已落幕,但是相信创新杯的意义会一直留在这些满载而归的参赛者心中,无限的创意激情,无限的实现可能,就像mBot,经过创意拓展后也是别有洞天,而这也是Makeblock的意义和初衷—-它不仅是一个机器人搭建平台,也给大家提供了一个实现创意、无限拓展的空间,当然Makeblock会一如既往,为教育努力,为创造服务,通过更多的赛事活动,让更多学生和机器人爱好者参与到创造中来。
